Everyone seems to preface this with a explanation as to what this is and how they came across it. I think the title speaks for itself, but for formalities, here we go.
One evening in late June, I was perusing the Internets. Frighteningly aware of how dull and hollow my website is, I was looking for inspiration as to what to post about, or what kind of content I could create with little to no effort. I found the blog of a student, not much older than I, but many years more accomplished. At the same time, I was staring at the stack of books on my desk. The summer reading. Hmm, yes. I picked up the one on top – Bless Me, Ultima, and finished it in a day. “Hey,” I thought, “I could do this.” Cuando era una niña, leía muchos libros, especialmente durante el verano. Pero, con el comienzo de la escuela secundaria, perdí el interés y el tiempo. Buuuttt I can’t deny that I love to read. I accept this challenge, because I feel that a person well-read is well-cultured, and I think this will help me remember that while I do have many goals, they’re nothing if I don’t try to reach them. Ohohoho I’m so ambitious.
The purpose of this challenge is to read at least 28 books (not magazines or comic books) within the year. The details are all at (in? on? What’s the proper preposition for this?) the mastermind’s (Crystal) website. The button below will take you to the challenge site.
